AN ADORED cafe has announced its unexpected closure, finding a business crisis as customers mourn the loss of the breakfast venue.

“It is with a heavy heart that we have made the decision to close our ACTON restaurant with immediate effect.” the post called.

“The staff crisis and inflation have affected our company,” the owners said on Facebook.

“We hope you know that we have done everything in our power not to come to this decision.”

“We THANK YOU for the support over the last few years,” the post continues.

“We will all miss you. Please visit our Wilmington and Norwood locations if you are in the area.”

The post received more than 50 comments from fans of the cafe and while many said they would miss the restaurant, some also expressed shock at the sudden closure and announcement.

“This was my Sunday spot to wrap up my weekend and get ready for the week,” someone said.

“But I have no respect for a company that tells its employees the night before about this decision and also owes them two weeks’ wages. Very unprofessional and they should have been given an opportunity to find employment by giving them an employer to give them a chance to make ends meet.

Another person said: “I’m so upset you’re closing.”

They added: “My boyfriend and I get together once a month for breakfast at As good As It Gets. We will really miss your delicious breakfast.”

The restaurant’s owners replied: “We really appreciated your patronage and we are sorry that we had to come to this unfortunate decision.”

One Facebook user said: “Oh no! That was our favorite place!”

Another user agreed, saying: “I’m deeply saddened to see this. I will miss the food, the good vibes and the sense of community. Another loss for Acton indeed.”

The Acton, Massachusetts location isn’t the only Denny’s rival in the country to see its end.

The owners of the Hermitage House Smorgasbord in Nashville, Tennesseeshared a bittersweet message on social media that broke the hearts of his regular customers.

Just eight months after Zell’s Cafe in Portland got a new line, it closed this month after 40 years in business.
