Foster said in a 2020 interview that his plan goes back to the 1930s when architects coming to Los Angeles “accepted the health aspects of the climate” by designing structure with balconies, terraces and other features aimed at integrating the house and the outdoors. Prices at the Aman in Beverly Hills have yet to be set, but other Aman motels have hit some eye-catching benchmarks.
A night at Aman’s Amangiri desert resort in Canyon Point, Utah, starts at about $4,000, according to the hotel’s website. A room booked for Monday night through Hotels.com will start at $430 at the Beverly Hilton and $1,195 at the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills.
