Black Christians BOYCOTT Da Baby After ‘Disrespects’ Jesus . . . Low Ticket Sales & Concert CANCELLED!

Black Christians have strained their wallets, uniting for the first time in recent memory to boycott a popular hip-hop artist. And it seems to have worked and could have a long-term impact on the future relationship between the black church and hip-hop.

Media Take Out learned that thousands of Christians in the New Orleans area had launched a campaign to boycott people buying tickets to Da Baby’s concert. The boycott appears to have worked. We have confirmed that fewer than 500 tickets have been sold for a venue that seats 14,000 people.

This time the Black Church embraced disrespect. . . and meet rappers where it hurts – in their POCKETS!

Here’s what happened. Rapper Da Baby is known for his outrageous and over-the-top lyrics and imagery in his music videos. But his latest video for the song Tough Skin has really rubbed many Christians the wrong way.

In the video, Media Take Out learned that Da Baby portrayed himself as Jesus on the cross. He also used other images that many believed had satanic vibes.

Church leaders across the South blasted the imagery in the video, which many felt was extremely disrespectful of Jesus and Christianity at large. A group of church leaders asked Da Baby to remove the video and apologize to the Christian community.

Da Baby didn’t pull out the video or apologize, and church leaders began calling on Louisians to boycott Da Baby’s upcoming New Orleans concert, which was set to be held at the Smoothie King Arena.

Organizing thousands of people to boycott one of the biggest hip hop artists in the world seemed like an impossible task.

Well it worked. Media Take Out confirmed that Da Baby has sold fewer than 500 tickets. He was supposed to sell out the arena before the boycott was announced.

We could be entering a new era…where black churches actually have the power to influence hip-hop imagery. Black Christians BOYCOTT Da Baby After ‘Disrespects’ Jesus . . . Low Ticket Sales & Concert CANCELLED!
