Happy birthday to rap legend E40 and his beautiful wife Tracy. Media Take Out confirmed yesterday that the couple celebrated 31 years of marriage and 37 years together.
In 2013, the hitmaker, best known for his hits “Tell Me When To Go” and “Sprinkle Me,” told hip-hop magazine XXL that the key to their happy relationship was communication.
“It’s always good when two people like the same things,” he said. “Of course, the conversation has to take place. Then you come to “what you like” and “what interests you”.
“Me and her [Tracy] We love bowling, me and my wife. Any relationship, I’m talking about it, even with your kids, if you have something they can relate to – both of you – it helps.
The couple, both from the California Bay Area, met in high school and became lovers. E40 explained: “We’ve been together since  Years. We met in high school, but we really met in junior high. I want you [Tracy] since 8th grade.”
E40 is a founding member of the rap group The Click and founder of Sick Wid It Records. He has released 28 studio albums to date, has appeared on numerous movie soundtracks, and has also made guest appearances on a variety of other rap albums. Originally an underground artist, his 1995 solo album In a Major Way opened him up to a wider audience. Beginning in 1998, he began collaborating with mainstream rappers outside of the San Francisco Bay Area. He achieved greater mainstream popularity in 2006 with his single “Tell Me When to Go,” which was produced by Lil Jon.
In addition to his music career, E-40 is an entrepreneur and investor who has ventured into other business and investment opportunities, including Microsoft.
