Brit couple robbed of £6,000 at knifepoint on Jamaica holiday after they were left stranded on roadside with flat tyre

A BRIT couple were stolen with a knife for £6,000 after being stranded on a road in Jamaica with a flat tyre.
The pensioners had just arrived in the island’s capital, Kingston, when they were mugged by local thugs.
The elderly couple, aged 71 and 82, were reportedly en route to Manchester, Jamaica when the horrific incident took place.
Local media claimed the tourists were being driven by a woman in a gray Toyota when its tire blew out and the group stopped to fix it.
Shortly thereafter, a group of men drove by and asked how the accident happened.
According to police, the men told them there was a tire shop nearby and drove away.
A short time later the same car returned and two men reportedly rushed at the vehicle.
One of the crooks brandished a knife, held up one of the pensioners and stole an envelope containing £6,000.
The other Briton had three smartphones and a piece of luggage stolen with a total value of around £350.
The driver was also mugged and had her driving license and around £40 stolen.
Police said the thugs were able to flee the scene but an investigation is ongoing.
A police spokesman said: “We are investigating the case.”
“We are looking for witnesses and hope that with their help we can apprehend the suspects.”
