Brit tourist ‘raped in Rhodes in second attack in a WEEK after Irish woman is assaulted and abandoned on beach’

A British tourist was reportedly raped at her home in Greece after a man allegedly forced her to have sex.

It’s the second suspected attack on Rhodes in a week after an Irish woman told police she woke up on a beach with memory loss and dizziness.

According to the woman’s complaint, a 47-year-old man accompanied her to the apartment where she was living after leaving a party on Monday morning.

After entering the room with her, he is said to have forced the woman to have sex with him.

The alleged crime was reported a few hours later and officers from the South Rhodes Police Department managed to locate and arrest the man.

At 12 noon local time today, a 47-year-old man from the Lindos area was brought before the Rhodes Public Prosecutor’s Office.

Greek media company Rodiaki reported that the case was being investigated with particular care by law enforcement agencies, and evidence and testimonies were being used to find out what really happened.

Also on Monday, another tourist was reportedly raped on a Rhodes beach by a man who spiked her drink with alcohol.

The 20-year-old Irish woman was out with her pals in Faliraki that night, local media Report.

Last month, a third holidaymaker was reportedly raped at sea by a man she met online while on a summer holiday in Greece.

The 20-year-old woman told police an Albanian man raped her on Saturday after they swam at Glystra beach on the east coast of Rhodes island.
