Bosses canceled the jumbo flight back to Heathrow because the pair were too traumatized to work.

Police are investigating Thursday’s attack and believe the Brits were attacked by a gang.

A source said: “There are fears they have been followed back to their hotel.

“They had been traveling one evening during a stopover.

“It was scary and they were grateful to escape with their lives.

“The couple had to report to the police and were understandably too upset to work.

“Passengers were informed that the flight was canceled and the duo later flew home as passengers.”

BA told The Sun: “This is a police matter. We support colleagues.”
