Britney Spears wasn’t shy about sharing the struggles she faced during her time as a conservator. In fact, she released a now-deleted 20-minute audio addressing some of the things she’s already said on Instagram. After releasing her son Jayden James Federline’s interview for a documentary, she had something to say in a social media post. Now she has released an audio where she speaks in more detail. Here’s what you need to know.
About Britney Spears
The trigger for Britney Spears’ latest post was this interview. In it, Federline talked about how his mother should get better. He also alluded to some mental health issues he and brother Sean Preston Federline support each other with. In the interview, he also defended his grandparents Jamie Spears and Lynne Spears, saying they are not bad people. However, Federline admitted that he felt the conservatorship was taking too long. Now Britney has fired back with her story.
Britney Spears comes in
Britney started the audio by talking about how she understands why everyone in her family has a problem with her doing her own thing because she hasn’t had it before. She addressed the interview in which her son Jayden spoke about praying for her. She asked, “For what?” Her answer was that she could keep working and support both her home and her family.
Additionally, Britney Spears addressed the pressures she has faced most of her life supporting tours. LeAnn Rimes once spoke of feeling a similar pressure to be responsible for the livelihoods of hundreds or thousands of people. Something we’re sure a lot of other younger artists feel the same way about.
In fact, one fan commented on the audio: “Britney please do more of this. Make an audio book. Tell your story to all the girls who want to be involved in the entertainment industry and want to be taken advantage of by their parents or other people in the business, especially older, predatory men who make slave contracts.
We can’t say we disagree. There are so many stories of kids in the industry struggling later in life.
Britney Spears is getting real
During the audio, she opened up about how her family seems to want something to be wrong with her and not appreciate her. In fact, Spears claims that when her kids visit, they mostly ignore her and expect her to “shower you gifts” and provide perfect food. Despite all the anger in her voice, it’s clear she wishes things were different. So many fans have written back and expressed their support.
One wrote: “An empath is a narcissist’s favorite dessert. Remember it.”
The audio ended with the singer saying that she no longer believes in God because of what happened. Specifically, she concluded with, “I’m an atheist, y’all.”
