Bubba Sparxx: I was sold out with ‘Ms. New loot’!!
Georgian rapper Bubba Sparxxx released his single “Ms. New Booty” in 2005 and it was a big hit… he admits that was when it sold out.
“I would say ‘Ms. New Booty’ is the time, if I ever sold out then it would be. And I don’t look at stuff like that, but that’s the time I made the money. I said, ‘Now I have to get some money.’ We did all these banjos and fiddles and all that shit [the last album] and now i have to get some money. I have to go back to those clubs,” he explained.
The rapper was enjoying the time in the spotlight leading up to the release of Deliverance.
“Then you dare to join in the different sounds liberation and then it doesn’t work the way we hoped. After that, even though I did a big deal with Virgin and Purple Ribbon with Big Boi, there were still a few years – two and a half years – when I wasn’t really able to get any real show money. I got some show money from Deliverance, but there were more colleges and the ticket was just lower.
