Bucks County woman sentenced in Lower Southampton Township crash that killed Korean War veteran on County Line Road

UPPER SOUTHAMPTON TWP., Pennsylvania (WPVI) — A Bucks County woman has been sentenced to up to five years in prison for an accident that killed a Korean War veteran in 2021.

It happened just before 6pm on March 25, 2021 at Block 300 of County Line Road in Lower Southampton Township.

Authorities say Adrienne Breslin, 46, of Upper Southampton, was driving her Dodge Durango in the eastbound lanes when she crossed into the oncoming lane via the center turn lane.

Breslin’s Durango collided head-on with a vehicle driven by 87-year-old Irwin Linder.

Linder was taken to the hospital, where he died two days later.

“Investigators determined that Breslin was traveling at 48 miles per hour when she crashed and did not attempt to slow down by braking before the crash,” the Bucks County Attorney’s Office said.

In August, Breslin pleaded guilty to murder by vehicle and related charges. She was sentenced Monday to two to five years in state prison followed by two years of probation.

Breslin also filed two guilty pleas in August for two unrelated DUI cases.

On 10 September 2021, less than six months after the fatal accident, Breslin was arrested by Upper Southampton Police on suspicion of drink driving. Authorities say she was in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.

Five months later, in February 2022, Breslin was arrested again for driving under the influence of a controlled substance.

Breslin was sentenced to additional concurrent prison terms in the two DUI counts.
