A group of people drove a car through the front door of a Neiman Marcus in Beverly Hills early Saturday to steal merchandise from the high-end store, police said.
The burglary took place at around 4:45 a.m. at a store on Wilshire Boulevard and Roxbury Drive, according to Beverly Hills police. The suspects made off with unidentified items, possibly handbags, police said.
Police described the vehicle used in the crime as a black Chevrolet sedan registered in Inglewood.
The burglary came months after a spate of burglaries and robberies in upscale Los Angeles drew significant attention, though the brazen crimes account for only a fraction of the city’s burglaries and robberies.
