The chief justice of the California Supreme Court has tested positive for COVID-19, authorities confirmed.
Tani Gorre Cantil-Sakauye, who is fully vaccinated and has received two booster shots, has mild symptoms, according to a statement Monday from the California Judiciary.
“The chief justice will work in isolation in accordance with state and local health guidelines, but will not participate in long-distance oral calls on Tuesday,” the statement said.
According to the statement, an order has been drafted that will allow Cantil-Sakauye to review video recordings of hearings if lawyers agree.
