‘Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0’ goes live November 16th

Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 will officially land and deliver on November 16th Modern Warfare II Environments, gameplay and technology into a large-scale battlefield. That release date has been floating around the web for a few months, and Activision confirmed it today during a presentation on Call of Duty’s new, connected future.

Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2.0 will mark a turning point for the Call of Duty franchise, with an emphasis on cross-progression and shared technology between the different versions. MWII will be released on October 28, just a few weeks before Warzone 2.0. Both games will use the same underlying technology, a new version of the IW engine that powers the 2019s Modern Warfare.

Warzone 2.0 serves as an extension of MWII Multiplayer set in a fictional region of western Asia called Al Mazrah. The battle royale has an overhauled endgame circle mechanic where multiple pens fall down instead of a single shrinking circle. There’s also a new sandbox experience called DMZ and a revamped Gulag where killed players can compete for a chance to rejoin a match in 2v2 battles.

AI mechanics in Warzone 2.0 will also be ripped out of the mainline rate — MWII will feature AI-driven advancements in squad positioning and enemy behavior, and offer more realistic responses to player movements across the board. This AI system will also be there live Warzone 2.0. Both titles will use Activision’s Ricochet Anti-Cheat, a kernel-level solution that monitors your rig while games are active.

MWII Multiplayer emphasizes amphibious play, stealth, and vehicle combat, and there will be a new 3v3 Raids mode later this year. That MWII The multiplayer open beta goes live on September 16th on PlayStation and September 22nd on Xbox and PC (and still PlayStation). This is open to people who have pre-ordered the game.

Warzone 2.0 will be free to play, just like his grandfather, war zone.
