Cardi B is trying to break up the Grammys fight between Offset and Quavo

Cardi B tried to keep the peace at the 65th Grammys on Sunday, where her husband Offset and fellow Migos bandmate Quavo were reportedly engaged in a heated fight backstage.

“You’re both wrong. Both of you,” the rapper reportedly said “Up” backstage. “That is not right.”

TMZ on Tuesday shared video footage of Cardi B, real name Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, trying to defuse tension between two people backstage. Though it’s unclear who she was speaking to, TMZ reported Monday that Offset and his cousin, Quavo, were involved in an argument.

“Be quiet. Because you shouldn’t have been talking,” Cardi B continued in the video, which was recorded and originally released by Entertainment Tonight.

Offset and Quavo “got into a physical fight and had to be pulled apart on Sunday.”

Quavo reportedly “refused” to let Offset attend the Grammys performance in memory of Takeoff – who died in a shooting in Houston in November at the age of 28 – preventing him from taking the stage before Quavo performed his tribute to bandmate Takeoff, according to TMZ.

Offset, who has been married to Cardi B since 2017 and shares two young children with the rapper, denied those reports.

“The way I look like I’m fighting my brother yal n— is crazy,” he said tweeted Monday hours after the story from TMZ.

The ‘Father of 4’ rapper also slammed Rap-A-Lot boss James Prince, aka J.Prince, for speculating about his relationship with cousin Takeoff. Prince claimed on an episode of the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast that Offset “wasn’t actually on Takeoff while he was alive.”

“How dare any of you even talk about the relationship between me and Take,” Offset said in a video that was shared social media. “I don’t know you from a can of paint.”

Amid the brawl reports and Prince controversy, Cardi B recalled Takeoff on her Instagram story. Early Tuesday morning, the “WAP” artist shared a photo of Takeoff that was originally posted from an Instagram account dedicated to the murdered rapper.

“Speak No Evil,” was the caption of the original post.
