Cardi B responds to Joe Budden’s “Bongos” criticism

Cardi B isn’t feeling Joe Budden’s criticism of her latest collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion.

Budden isn’t a fan of “Bongos,” but said he doesn’t think the song works at all.

“I hate that song. It’s no better than any other song like that. “WAP”, “Up”, it’s no better than the Cardi B feature. Here’s Cardi getting ready to follow up her debut album… They’re not going to spend the money to keep it going in the fourth and first quarters. “The music business is reactionary. You’ll wait and see what the research is on this song… This record doesn’t seem to have any lasting power… There’s nothing that makes it stay,” he said on his podcast.

Cardi believes his problem with her is personal.

“I just feel like he has a problem with me,” she said. “And it went beyond criticizing ‘Bongos’.”
