CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For July 28: Victor Manages A Family Crisis; Summer Questions Phyllis’ Motives

The CBS spoilers for “The Young and the Restless” (Y&R) will finally turn the page on Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) and wrap up one of the most terrifying storylines in recent memory.

We had so much hope for the character, but he was a whisper of what we expected and he left with a whimper, making Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) look untouchable.

And now we’re on to other storylines that we’re sure will prove just as imaginative.

CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ spoilers for July 28: Newman family crisis

We suspect Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will be an interesting person now that they found Ashland dead in his car in a ravine.

The argument will be that Nick caused his accident by injuring him and therefore Ashland failed to appreciate the dangers of his situation.

Of course, Victor will want to step up and take care of everything, and we doubt Nick will be willing to accept Victor’s bribery officers, er, help the officers see their mistakes.

He will want to be brought to justice for what he has done, and since he feels justified, he will be sure that he will be found innocent.

Another possibility is that Victor could be a suspect since he showed up after Ashland left and he had a team monitoring the house.

We have little doubt that he had something to do with Ashland landing in the canyon, but it will most likely be an unanswered question, with only Victor’s word going.

CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers for July 28: Summer Calls on Phyllis’ Bluff

Now that all eyes can be on Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters), we’re going to delve into Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) current plan to get hired at Marchetti.

Of course, nothing goes as planned, and it’s no surprise since few things related to their plans go smoothly.

In this case, Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) sees through Phyllis’ attempt to get hired and asks her directly if it has anything to do with her vendetta against Diane.

Phyllis will, as usual, downplay or deny it before Summer gives her a knowing look and Phyllis cleans up.

She will ask Summer to understand that she needs to keep an eye on Diane, but we don’t think Summer will buy that.

If she’s foiled, we’re excited to see what Phyllis does next, and if Summer relents, we expect her to eventually come back and bite her.

Will Phyllis go through with this? Let us know in the comments below, and keep an eye on Young and the Restless for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation.
