The two were photographed watching the action at the National Stadium as Sir Rod’s team look to make history by clinching a famous treble against Caley Thistle.

Ahead of the game, there was a lot of talk about Ange Postecoglou’s future.

The Parkhead boss is a prime candidate to succeed Antonio Conte at Tottenham Hotspur.

The north London side are set to hold talks with the Australian in the coming days, meaning the Scottish Cup final could be his last game as manager of the club.

The gaffer didn’t reveal much ahead of the game and remained focused on giving Celtic their fifth clean-shooting domestic league win in seven seasons.

He said earlier this week: “I’ve danced that dance a few times this year so I think the players know exactly where my mind is.”

“They’re not as invested in this football club as I am, like the players, like our fans.”

“I woke up this morning and I was thinking about one thing and it’s the same thing I’ve been thinking about for the last five, seven days: I really want to make sure we play well in this cup final. Make it a whole special season.

“I know this football club has had a lot of success this season, including the treble, but over time there aren’t many who can say that.”

“And not just for me and this football club, but also for some of these players, it’s maybe the only (triple) they get, so we really have to focus on that.”

Another treble would see Celtic surpass Rangers’ record and set a new world record by accomplishing the feat eight times in their history.
