‘Celebrity Wheel of Fortune’ season 3 premieres Sunday, 9 p.m. ET

In the new season of “Celebrity Wheel of Fortune” there will be some star power turning the wheel.

Celebrities will be back for season three, which premieres this Sunday.

“Celebrities aren’t too different in terms of their excitement about being on the show, you forget it because we take it for granted, but we’re part of popular culture here, we’ve always been here, and people grew up with it whether they’re in show business or they work in a supermarket,” said Pat Sajak. “So it’s funny to see a lot of them are just as excited, if not more excited, than some of the regular people who are quoting.”

Celebrities from music to sports will play for a million dollar prize for the charity of their choice, including former New York Giant Tiki Barber.

“By the way, he’s not just an NFL veteran, he’s a Wheel of Fortune veteran,” Sajak said. “In 2001 we did an NFL week, we matched NFL boys with civilians so they could play as a team, and Tiki played. He didn’t remember how he did it. I think he probably erased that from his memory.”

Pat Sajak and Vanna White will guide players through the game, which they have been hosting for four decades.

“When you do a game show, when you’re a celebrity you really put yourself out there like you might not watch the show as much as someone else, it’s easy to make a misstep and you have to carry that with you Rest of your life,” Sajak said. “I used to say ‘Jeopardy!’ made. Occasionally I’d stop because the downside was way too big.”

“Celebrity Danger!” is also back with a $1 million grand prize for the winner’s charity.

It gives famous faces a chance to compete in a part of pop culture while raising money for a good cause.

“Everyone in show business assumes everyone knows everyone in show business, and that’s not true,” Sajak said.
