Celtic fans unfurl X-rated banner during Hearts clash as supporters protest King’s Coronation

CELTIC fans unfurled an X-Rated banner in their clash with Hearts protesting the King’s coronation.
The Hoops defeated the Jambos 2-0 in Tynecastle to secure the Scottish Premiership title on the same weekend as King Charles III’s coronation.

A group of fans made their feelings clear with the banner that read: “F*** the King.
“Crown the champions.”
It comes in a week that has seen Hoops fans go viral following chants like “You can stick your coronation up your ass.”
The clip made national television programs including the BBC panel show Have I Got News For You and Jeremy Vine’s Channel 5 talk show.

There was also an angry response from Piers Morgan, who attacked Celtic supporters.
Speaking on his TalkTV show, Morgan said: “Well absolutely charming as always from Celtic fans of course.
“But that’s how they’ve always been towards our monarchy and I see a lot like Celtic fans.”
Earlier this season, Celtic fans displayed a ‘F*** the Crown’ banner during their Champions League clash with Shakhtar Donetsk in Warsaw.

The Hoops were subsequently fined by Uefa for the ad before fans unfurled another banner reading ‘Gegen den Hunger und die Krone’ against RB Leipzig the following month.
Celtic’s banner wasn’t the only protest to be seen in the Premier League, with Hibs Ultras also unveiling an explosive-laden display.
Two separate banners were spotted side by side at the stadium.
One read “fuck the coronation”, the other said “feed the poor”.
They sang the same chant as the Celtic fans during the Scottish Cup game with Rangers and also sang “You can stick the coronation up your ass”.
God Save the King was played before all English Premier League and EFL matches, with the SPFL leaving clubs to decide whether or not to celebrate the occasion.
The anthem was played ahead of Rangers’ clash with Aberdeen at Ibrox.
