Celtic’s John Kennedy spots big Brendan Rodgers difference from Ange Postecoglou as he issues ‘prove yourself’ challenge

JOHN KENNEDY has worked for both Ange Postecoglou and Brendan Rodgers and has seen both up close.
He knows what makes every manager tick – and has warned the Celtic side they need to prove themselves again.
One thing the team that won the treble will notice is a more sociable manager, he says.
The new boss is in the building and after a balloon and pennant will be welcome to Lennoxtown the tough work has started for the reigning champion.
All but three are new to Rodgers, but Kennedy knows each and every one, just as he does the manager now and before him.
He says there will be changes – but the drive to succeed will remain the same for Celtic’s treble winners.

Kennedy said: “Brendan is great for the club. I know him very well and have a great working relationship with him from the past.”
“I know him very well – he pays attention to detail – and the standards he sets are very high. It is therefore a great asset for the club to build on what we have already achieved here.”
“He will work with a new group of players who are young, hungry and still striving for success.”
“He knows what the club asks for and he will strive for more success. He doesn’t let anyone fall into the attitude he’s achieved.”
“The reality is that you (last season) achieved something, you respect that and you park It.
“We have to achieve something again, that’s the aim of the club.”
Ange Postecoglou formed the core of the current squad and won over the Hoops fans with a microphone Training session that carried the club mantra “We Never Stop”.
Early images of Rodgers show a manager in the middle of the action with his players as they test their pace, and Kennedy emphasized the difference in how each player worked – but with the same result.
Speak with Celtic TV He explained, “Brendan is a very different character in that he likes to get more involved in socializing with people.
“In that way he gets the best out of people’s minds, but Ange was different in how he got the best out of people.
“It’s two different styles, both very successful and good at what they do. It’s a change for the players – a new character in the building – and they have to prove themselves again and hopefully that will be a big incentive to really get going in the pre-season.”
The Hoops have confirmed that the Korean leg of their Asian tour has been cancelled.
Wolves canceled a planned friendly and when attempts to win local opponents in Suwon failed, Celtic withdrew as well.
The club confirmed the games were canceled and took a dig at the organizers this afternoon.
