CHANNEL 5 viewers have all said the same thing about Danny Dyer in his first major role since leaving EastEnders.
The former soap star, 45, left Walford for the Australian outback just as the heat got underway tonight.
The heat is unfolding against the backdrop of a looming Australian bushfire as two families who have been friends for a long time head to a remote home for a summer holiday.
As secrets and lies are uncovered, it becomes a powder keg – and not everyone will make it out alive.
While the drama unfolds inside the home, a brush fire rages outside, engulfing the vegetation surrounding the luxurious mansion.
But just a few minutes into the episode, all fans were saying the same thing:
They took to social media to point out that Danny’s character, Steve, has a heavy Cockney accent, while his wife and children are Australian.
One said: “Does Danny Dyer just do an accent? I feel like I’m watching East Enders.”
A second wrote: “Is this Danny Dyer drama getting any livelier? Watch plus 1. Sounds like Mick Carter. Never changes his accent to anything…”
A third tweeted, “Danny Dyer plays… Danny Dyer,” while a fourth commented, “Danny Dyer plays Mick Carter in a version of Home and Away…”
Danny’s wife, Sarah, is played by actress Pia Miranda, who has starred in Neighbors and Wentworth Prison.
Her children are played by Matia Marks and Matteo Annetta.
Four episodes will be cut during the week, with the dramatic finale airing on Friday.
