Charges against Lul Tim, man charged with murder of rapper King Von, just dropped

Rapper Quando Rondo’s friend and gunman, Lul Tim, has been charged with massacring rival rapper King Von in the parking lot of an Atlanta strip club in 2020.

Shortly thereafter, he was charged by prosecutors in Von’s murder and he has been out on bail ever since.

Now the case is officially closed, as Media Take Out has learned. According to multiple reports, Tim will no longer be charged with Von’s murder. Instead, prosecutors are viewing the case as an act of self-defense.

Leading up to the actual performance, Chicago rapper King Von was seen punching Rondo, which sparked a brawl between the two rapper crews — and eventually led to Lil Tim pulling a stick and ending Von’s life.

King Von was an American gangsta rapper from Chicago, Illinois. He was signed to Lil Durk’s record label Only the Family and Empire Distribution. During Von’s lifetime and after his assassination, he was implicated in various murders and alleged crimes related to the Chicago gang scene.

Von received recognition for the singles “Crazy Story” and “Took Her to the O,” which peaked at number forty-fourth on the Billboard Hot 100, and for the studio album Welcome to O’Block (2020), which peaked at number five on the Billboard 200.

Von and his crew were involved in an altercation with the Quando Rondo crew outside the Monaco hookah lounge in Atlanta, Georgia. The argument quickly escalated to gunfire, and Von was shot multiple times.

He was taken to a hospital in critical condition, where he died later in the day. He was 26 years old.
