Charlotte Fire: 3 dead, 2 hurt in scaffolding collapse at construction site

CHARLOTTE, NC– Three people died when scaffolding collapsed in Charlotte on Monday morning.
It happened around 9 a.m. at a construction site on East Morehead Street near Euclid Avenue, according to the Charlotte Fire Department.
Paramedics later confirmed that two other people were taken to hospital but were not seriously injured.
According to ABC affiliate WSOC, dozens of first responders, including Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police and Charlotte Fire, were at the scene to investigate.
Investigators plan to release more details about the incident on Monday.
