CHELSEA are ready to let Romelu Lukaku go for just £40m.
That’s almost £60m less than the record transfer fee the club paid for the Belgium striker two years ago.
Lukaku, 30, was on loan at Inter Milan last year and doesn’t want to return to England.
The Italians want him but Chelsea will only approve a permanent move and not another loan.
And they’re willing to put up with the £97.5m he cost when he joined from Inter in 2021 just to get him off the books.
Juventus, his Serie A counterparts, and Saudi club Al-Hilal are also interested in a deal.
Juve reportedly held talks with Chelsea last week about a potential deal for the striker.
However, the Italian giants are said to have been upset at its price.
Meanwhile, Saudi Super League club Al Hilal have offered him a huge £21million-a-year deal.
But the striker revealed he wants to stay in Europe.
