Chelsea to rival PSG for Inter’s Milan Skriniar

Chelsea will take on Paris Saint-Germain as they aim to sign the Internazionale centre-back Milan Skriniaras reported by Sky Sports Italia.

PSG have so far offered €60m for the Slovakia international but Inter consider this sum to be too low.

Chelsea are aiming to deploy defensive reinforcements after already losing Antonio Rudiger and Andrew Christensen to Real Madrid or Barcelona.

Had already shown interest in Juventus centre-back Matthijs de Ligtit seems that they continue to look towards Serie A to strengthen their defense.

It comes after Inter’s negotiations with PSG stalled over differing valuations of the 27-year-old, while the Ligue 1 champions also wanted to include a player in the deal.

The fact that there is interest from other quarters is an advantage for Inter as it could lead to PSG increasing their own bid.

Inter are open to letting Skriniar go as they believe it is the best way to ensure their financial stability due to their interest in the defender, which will be encouraging for both Chelsea and PSG.

08.54 CET: LAFC midfielder Ilie Sanchez is not surprised Gareth Bale has chosen the MLS club to continue his playing career.

The 32-year-old Wales international has joined LAFC on a 12-month deal with options until 2024 after his contract with La Liga champions Real Madrid expired.

“I am not suprised [by his arrival] because I’ve been in this league for six years and I see that our level keeps rising every year,” Sanchez said. “Things are being done very well. I imagine he had other options but we are all delighted that he chose us.

“There were rumors going around internally, it was a very difficult operation. Our management did everything well for the league and the player to accept the terms offered.

“We will do everything to ensure that Bale adapts to the team as soon as possible.”

LAFC had signed the former Juventus and Italy defender earlier this month Giorgio Chiellini and renewed the captain’s contract Carlo Vela.

“We brought in two world-class reinforcements in Chiellini and Bale, while we renewed Carlos Vela,” said Sanchez, who has scored 63 goals in 101 games in MLS.

“Carlos Vela is our leader, he has been our leader since the beginning and will continue to be. His renewal and the arrival of Bale and Chiellini are a guarantee that we remain at the top.”

Fernandinho, who helped City win four Premier League titles – including the 2021-22 crown – and six League Cups since joining them from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2013, said in April he had no plans to stay beyond the season .
