Writer and director Kyra Elise Gardner knows a thing or two about horror; Her father is special effects genius Tony Gardner, whose many credits include several films The child’s play series as well as the current chucky TV series. With stage blood in her true blood, Gardner seems like the perfect person to direct a documentary Horror’s toughest killer doll-And the human who helped bring him to life.

Listen, I watch everything with John Waters, but this looks very funny (and really heartfelt) no matter what. Here is the official synopsis: “Living with Chucky takes a close look at the groundbreaking ceremony child’s play Franchise through the eyes of a filmmaker who grew up in it. Featuring interviews with cast and crew such as Brad Dourif, Jennifer Tilly, Alex Vincent, creator Don Mancini and more, this personal film chronicles the dedication, creativity and sacrifice that went into creating the franchise and its lasting influence to the horror community.”

Life with Chucky will be released on April 4th in the US and Canada on Screambox and all major digital platforms.
