China Stresses Its Taiwan Stance at U.N.

NEW YORK — China’s foreign minister pushed one issue in particular at a series of diplomatic meetings at the United Nations this week: Beijing’s sovereignty over Taiwan.

Address to the UN on Saturday on behalf of the President Xi JinpingChinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi described Taiwan as China’s sovereign territory since ancient times and vowed decisive action to forestall separatist activities.
