Chloë Bailey has announced a new single with Chris Brown and fans are not happy

Chloë Bailey announced a collaboration on Thursday, with fans calling her out on social media.

On Thursday, Bailey tweeted a photo promoting the second single “How Does It Feel” from her forthcoming debut solo album In Pieces, and fans weren’t pleased when she credited disgraced R&B artist Chris Brown as saw their main guest.

The tweet was tagged Brown and featured a steamy shot of the two embracing in a dimly lit room. Fans were heated, but not in the way Bailey might have hoped. Brown isn’t exactly known for his music these days, but rather for his assault on Rihanna in 2009 and his many subsequent legal troubles.

“Chloe Bailey is doing a song with Chris Brown in 2023, it’s like she’s scared of success.” tweeted @jennytheleo.

“We let black women in music down when they feel like they have to work with a known abuser to get on the charts.” commented Ernest Owens, Editor-in-Chief of Philadelphia Magazine.

Bailey and her sister Halle Bailey are signed to Beyoncé’s record label Parkwood Entertainment, which has fans wondering if Queen Bey signed the pairing.

“Did Beyoncé approve of that…” @fiercalicious tweeted.

Fans are also wondering why Chris Brown?

“@ChloeBailey wasn’t Giveon available? Anderson Paak? khalid? Bruno Mars? Daniel Caesar? or literally someone else?” tweeted @trickybrina.
