Clearwater paramedics reunite with man they helped save after cardiac arrest

CLEARWATER, Fla. (WFLA) – A team of paramedics from the Clearwater Fire & Rescue Department and Sunstar reunited with a man they helped save in April on Thursday.

Fire nurse Brian Kemry and Sunstar paramedics Ray Ramjattan and Taylor Heinzel met Evan Johnson, someone they helped save during a call when he went into cardiac arrest.

“Those three first responders, along with our Lieutenant Craig Krueger, Lieutenant Casey Matz, Driver Operator Steve Avise, Firefighter Carlos Pellitero and Firefighter Nicholas Stucker, worked flawlessly as a team to respond to the call and treat Johnson, who has since made a full recovery,” the Clearwater Fire & Rescue Department said in a Facebook post.

Johnson’s family would like to thank the doctors who answer calls to help save lives every day.

The Facebook post said the family even made their own gifts at home for people to give during the visit.
