Cocaine, heroin found after MNPD witness North Nashville drug deal

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A 27-year-old man was arrested Monday afternoon after police said they witnessed a drug bust in North Nashville.

Documents from the Nashville Metro Police Department (MNPD) indicate that Devante Woods was involved in a turn-around transaction at 1613 Buchanan Street with another person. Officers said Woods bought crack cocaine for $5.

MNPD detectives were later said to have arrested Woods. During an arrest warrant, police said they found 0.6 grams of cocaine packed in a dollar bill in his right pocket, as well as 0.1 grams of heroin in a dollar bill. other.

Woods faces three drug charges and is being held over a $15,000 fine.
