Colin Farrell, ‘The Banshees Of Inesherin’ Winners with New York Film Critics Circle

Colin Farrell and The Banshees of Inesherin are praised by the New York Film Critics Circle. The acclaimed film awards voting committee announced its best film performances of the year on Friday. Banshees won best screenplay and Colin Farrell won best actor. Farrell’s win was for his work in Banshees and After Yang.

Other winners include Best Picture for Tar, Cate Blanchett for Best Actress in Tar, Ke Huy Quan for Best Supporting Actor for All At Once, Keke Palmer for Best Supporting Actress for Nope and Top Gun. : Maverick” for best camera.

The New York Film Critics Circle consists of 50 journalists and has been a key indicator when it comes to nominations for the Academy Awards. Last year, the group chose “Drive My Car” as the best picture. This film received a Best Picture nomination and won Best International Feature Film at the Oscars.

The Oscar nominations will be announced on January 24, 2023 and the 95th Academy Awards, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, will air on March 12, 2023 on ABC.
