Comedian Andrew Schulz Tells Streaming To Shove It – Launches On His Own For More Than $1 Million

Comedian Andrew Schulz refused to bow to Amazon’s censorship and decided to self-publish his new special, and it’s already grossed more than $1 million. Schulz recently explained that people on the streaming service freaked out when they saw the footage he planned to include in his next special.

Topics ranged from Ted Bundy, abortion and Michael Jackson. He claimed they told him to remove the sensitive stuff or else they wouldn’t post it on their platform. Schulz had none of it and instead decided to release alone.

Comedian Andrew Schulz says streaming should dare — launching alone for more than $1 million

Schulz released the special to his fans through his website for $15 per ticket and made $500,000 in sales on the first day alone and well over $1 million in less than a week. According to some sources, they believe he’s going to do more than just his deal with Amazon from the start.

He’s teamed up with Moment House to sell his tickets – the same company behind the Justin Bieber and Kygo shows – and we’re told he’s already been breaking sales records.

Schulz continues to be one of the best-selling comedians of recent years, and watching him forge his own path, breaking away from a streaming giant and just selling tickets his own way, is a huge statement for comedians around the world World. Of course you need a following to be able to do something like this, but it’s another option that people might not have known they had.
