It’s a shame Saturday Night Live just ended its most recent season, because if they had given it another week, Kate McKinnon’s departure could have had a glorious exit as Rudy Giuliani testified to the House Select Committee January 6 for nine hours while basically telling them nothing they don’t know yet.
Rudy Colludy discussed it with the House Select Committee on Friday, but he “refused to discuss the involvement of Republicans in Congress in an effort to overturn the 2020 election results.” No, really? It’s not like Trump’s former attorney has a great history of working with the government despite being a former government official. But Rudy still wanted Rudy, and he offered the Committee a little something-something before hoping he remembered to turn off his computer’s camera.

Rudy discussed two “remarkable meetings” at the White House regarding Trump that took place just weeks before the Capitol uprising. But he later asserted privileges he really didn’t have, as well as a “work product doctrine,” refusing to answer when asked to detail the role of House Republicans and Republicans. Senate in the plan to block Congress’s certification. So he basically won the 5th (make your own booze joke here, because Twitter already beat you).

Nobody expected Rudy to tell them everything, he still had a lot of court work to do, you know. Also, it looks like he’s just wasting everyone’s time arguing over the debunked voter fraud allegations, because he’s in a lot of trouble about that, too. But with all the information they’ve gathered and the upcoming televised hearings, maybe they don’t even need Rudy to collude anymore, thanks! Next is the introduction of the crime, right? THE RIGHT?!
