With Elon Musk pledging to restore freedom of speech on Twitter, Disney employees expressing dismay at Florida political activism, and Netflix stating it will not make content decisions based on employees’ political views, the time has come to restore a business culture that respects American liberties and ideals and differing perspectives among employees, customers, shareholders and the general public.

But those who value freedom of speech, freedom of religion, and free markets cannot expect that random bursts of encouraging news will foster such a culture. This is especially true given how captive US corporations have become to a left-wing political agenda that many of their employees, customers, and shareholders do not support, and that many Americans do not want powerful governments or private actors to foist on them.
