Consequence & Talib Kweli BEEF Online!!

Consequence and Talib Kweli got into a bit of a conflict over the Kanye West controversy online. Talib invited Consequence to be a guest on his podcast and his invitation was accepted.

“I’m willing to do interviews because I feel like clarity needs to be conveyed through productive communication in order to move forward, but n-ggaa let’s not play stupid games,” Consequence wrote.

He continued: “One moment you internet bully, the next moment you want an interview. Come on beloved [Talib Kweli], What do we do? When I saw you [Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle] You’ve expressed wanting to take it to bed with Ye, so it feels like you’re trading integrity for clout. If you want me to sit in the “hot seat” with you then give me a call like a real one. Either [Q-Tip, Khalil Moses, Chris Rock] or DJ Chicken Fingers did my math. Oh that’s right, you think you DJ Chicken Fingers. Let me know what we’re doing. Queens get the money.”

Talib clapped back with an excerpt from Billboard magazine:

“‘Yasiin Bey Wears ‘White Lies Matter’ shirt amid Kanye West controversy. Yasiin Bey, better known as Mos Def, took to Instagram on Friday (October 7) to share a photo in response to Kanye West wearing a White Lives Matter shirt on his Yeezy Season 9 runway show during wore at Paris Fashion Week. The Brooklyn native shared a photo of himself wearing a t-shirt that read “White Lives Matter.” However, the ‘v’ was faded and the shirt said ‘White Lies Matter,'” the comment read.

The back-and-forth continued, with the presenters trading insults at one another.
