Conservative Group Launches Text Alert System for When Companies Go Woke

Nothing upsets conservatives like companies that espouse progressive values. That’s why a conservative nonprofit called Consumers’ Research offers “Woke Alerts” to notify you when your favorite business is getting too awake.
Consumers’ Research currently has applications for Awakened Warnings on its official website, and users can enter their phone number on the Woke Alerts webpage to receive text alerts when a company goes a little too far wOKe scale. Consumers’ Research has already sent out woke alerts for investment firm BlackRock, supermarket chain Lidl and even the notorious Silicon Valley Bank. Woke Alerts criticize various companies and organizations for their compliance Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) standards. and other sustainable actions that promote diversity or LGBTQ+ attitudes such as drag queens in ads.
For example in the wake-up alarm of Silicon Valley Bank, which failed spectacularly due to an interest rate riskWill Hild, Managing Director of Consumers’ Research called:
The bank suffered from a combination of senior executives focused more on identity politics than risk management, and investments in unprofitable, virtue-signaling goodies, like the alleged funding of 62% of all US solar projects… It’s also poetic that SVB is the first Banking would fail to ‘wake up’ as the general business culture in Silicon Valley itself is notoriously far left and similarly out of step with the rest of the country. Let this be a warning, not just to other banks, but to all American corporations: focus on serving your customers, not bright politicians.
Consumers’ Research has been a low-profile party in the far-right space, and Woke Alerts is just the tip of the iceberg. How detailed by axiosthe conservative nonprofit has apparently created a 30-page document that Senate Republicans can use as a roadmap to get involved in hearings against so-called “woke up” companies. Consumers’ Research was funded by the Washington Post earlier this year, and in 2021, the nonprofit’s funding increased tenfold, with nearly $6 million of the $8 million coming from conservative charity DonorsTrust. Hild even has ties to the Federal Society, a conservative legal organization affiliated with four of the nine current Supreme Court justices.
The rise of Woke Alerts comes at a time when conservatives could not be more angry at marginalized groups simply present. After everyone’s favorite good old boy beer, Bud Light, trans-TikToker Dylan Mulvaney tapped into one sponsorship, online conservatives have complained that the company might have been able to appeal to a new demographic. The conservatives then did what conservatives do best: feed off a one-sided culture war destroy Bud Light Products that she already paid to send a message to Woke Beer anywhere. Woke Alerts is just another part of this ill-conceived culture war.
