Constance Wu and her boyfriend Ryan Kattner are pregnant again.

The Fresh Off the Boat and Hustlers star confirmed her pregnancy Tuesday with a photo posted to her Instagram Story. In the picture, the actress bares her baby bump and points to it.

“Buns in the oven. Filipino baby #2 coming soon,” she wrote, referring to her future child’s mixed Taiwanese and Filipino roots.

In 2020, the actor and Kattner (a musician and screenwriter known by Honus Honus) quietly welcomed a baby girl.

Pictures emerged on Thursday of the Making a Scene writer appearing to be pregnant with a bulging baby bump. Paparazzi caught Wu, 40, out walking in Los Angeles wearing a striped shirt and sweatpants.

The news of Wu’s second child comes months after she released her memoir Making a Scene in October 2022. Ahead of the book’s release, the Crazy Rich Asians star returned to social media after shying away from publicity about her. Fresh off the boat controversy.

In 2019, Wu shared a series of tweets expressing his disappointment at the renewal of the sixth season of ABC’s Fresh Off the Boat. She faced backlash over her comments, which took a toll on her mental health in July 2022.

“I felt awful about what I said, and when a couple of direct messages from another Asian actress told me that I’d become a plague to the Asian-American community, I started to feel like I didn’t even have it more deserved to live. That I was a disgrace to AsAms and they would be better off without me,” she said in a Twitter statement. Her Twitter account has since been deactivated. “Looking back, it’s surreal that a few DMs convinced me to end my own life, but that’s exactly what happened. Luckily, a friend found me and rushed me to the emergency room.”

In “Making a Scene,” she recalled the drama “Fresh Off the Boat” and claimed she was sexually assaulted by an unnamed producer on the historical Asian-American series.

“As a result, I’ve been quiet for a really long time about a lot of the sexual harassment and intimidation that I received in the first two seasons of the show,” she said of the alleged attack during a panel at the 2022 Atlantic Festival.

She added that the drama “Fresh Off the Boat” and her experience of sexual assault are linked, noting that she “wanted to have a fresh slate where I didn’t have to start a show with all these reminders of abuse.” .

“It’s negatively affected my career, but in many ways it’s personally had a positive impact on me because it made me take a break from my career, it made me go to therapy and understand it and ultimately get better to get out.”
