Cops probing sudden death of man on rural Scots road

Police have launched an investigation after a man died suddenly on a Scottish country road.
The tragedy happened this evening on the Cairn O’Mount Road near Fettercairn in Aberdeenshire.
After the tragic incident, the police were called to the scene of the accident and blocked the road.
Officers closed the B974 as they began their investigation.
A police spokesman confirmed that the road was closed in both directions.
The public has also been urged to avoid the area.


A Scottish Police spokesman said: “Officers are on the scene following the sudden accident Death of a Man in the Cairn O’Mount Road area of Fettercairn.
“Investigations to fully clarify the circumstances are still ongoing.
“The B974 remains closed in both directions between Fettercairn and Cairn O’Mount.
“The public is asked to avoid the area at this time.”
