  • Valuation: 4.98 stars (131 reviews)

If you’re looking for the coziest winter vacation, trust me, fly (or drive) direct to Park City, Utah and you’ll be surrounded by the slopes. My family and I have been going there for a while and it is absolutely stunning in the snow. There are many cute cabins in the area, but this one is particularly nice because it’s not in the heart of bustling Park City. Superhosts Rocky and Gianni have created the most beautiful accommodation complete with interior design that is a mix of rustic, modern and touches of Scandinavian. This cabin looks like a home of sorts where you can curl up on the couch, turn on the fireplace, and watch vacation movies with the family all day. Oh, and did I mention the fully suspended hammock floor and indoor rocking chair? Find me a cooler cabin – I’ll wait.

If you’re looking for a place to ski in California, look no further than Big Bear Lake. Skiing in California is perfect for beginners in cold weather. It’s not chilly like Maine or Wisconsin, but it’s still cool enough for snowball fights and hot chocolate by the fire. I fell head over heels in love with this charming mountain cabin hosted by Theresa and JJ. It’s close to all the ski resorts and villages, but if you want to be a couch potato, that’s fine too! There is a lot of space in this airbnb as you have access to two floors, the courtyard and the terrace. The stained glass windows on the front door, the dining area and the rustic green kitchen cabinets make winter dreams come true.

The bunk beds are by far my favorite part – bring your family of four and enjoy the hygge here.
