Crews respond to fire in Dauphin Co.

The fire is located along Armstrong Street and Route 147 is closed in both directions between Fourth Street and Boyer Street, according to 511pa.com.

DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. – According to a 911 report, crews are at the scene of a multiple building fire in Halifax Township, Dauphin County this morning.

The fire is located along the 100 block of Armstrong Street and Route 147 is closed in both directions between Fourth Street and Boyer Street, according to 511pa.com.

The roof of one of the buildings appears to be damaged and the other two buildings appear to have been destroyed. Officials say they did not have to evacuate anyone in nearby homes and there were no reported injuries.

There are over 20 different fire departments working on this fire and according to one of the fire chiefs the fire appears to have started in one of the buildings and spread to two other buildings.

Crews are now making sure all hotspots are cleared, but there’s no word yet on when the scene will be cleared.

As of 6:30 a.m., the scene is still active.
