Critically acclaimed card game ‘Inscryption’ is coming to PS4 and PS5

encryption, one of the most critically acclaimed games of 2021, is coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Previously it was only available for Windows, macOS and Linux, but publisher Devolver Digital is bringing it to consoles.

at its core, encryption is a card game dripping with horror. You sacrifice certain tier-based cards to play stronger ones against your opponent. There’s so much more to it, although this is definitely one of those games where the less you know about it, the better. It’s not too much of a spoiler to say things are getting pretty weird. encryption will absolutely mess up your expectations.

The roguelike deck builder has been named Game of the Year by a number of publications and received a number of Game Awards nominations. encryption was also a hit with the players. It’s old more than a million copies in less than three months.

Developer Daniel Mullins is adding a few extra features to the PlayStation versions, particularly for the PS5’s DualSense controller. There’s haptic feedback, and you hear audio from your companion, a talking ermine card, through your controller’s speaker. Mullins also promises to bring mood lighting to the controller through the light bar. There is no release date for PS4 and PS5 yet, but we hope it’s not too far away.
