Follow live coverage as Crystal Palace take on AFC Bournemouth in the Premier League today.
Manchester City are the reigning champions after beating Liverpool to the finish line in a neck-and-neck race for the 2021/22 title. A comeback win on the final day against Aston Villa secured Pep Guardiola’s side their fourth title in five years.
Jurgen Klopp’s Reds were on their way to a quadruple last season but had to settle for just one FA Cup and Carabao Cup win and, like in 2020, will be looking to lift the title again.
It was a dramatic season for Chelsea a year ago as Roman Abramovich has now been replaced by Todd Boehly as west London owner. He will want an immediate return on his hefty investment at Stamford Bridge, while Tottenham, back in the Champions League, are also keen to start again.
However, it’s not all about the action at the top as Fulham, Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest have been promoted to the top flight for 2021/22 and hope to hold their own against the best of English football and avoid relegation avoid.
We bring you all the action and updates from today’s game in the live blog below:
