Dame Dash Talks NFT Drama Reasonable Doubt
Dame Dash and Jay-Z went to court last year over a reasonable doubt that NFT wanted to auction off Dame.
Speaking to the Veuit podcast, Dame spilled the tea on what really happened behind the scenes.
“When I was offered a certain amount of money for my stake in Roc-A-Fella Inc., the owner of Reasonable Doubt, they offered me about $1.5 million… Jay-Z… I thought that’s some disrespectful shit . So I guess I’ll have to sell it somewhere else,” he said.
When he announced the auction, Jay’s team acted quickly.
“What happened was I got the lawsuit. Because again, I was accused of doing something I didn’t do to stop myself from doing it and then everyone just disappeared. So I had to take care of the lawsuit on my own. It worked. But from there I guess I have to explore all things and understand the law of what I can and can’t do with the potential. If you’re reading Bloomberg and all that, I’ve set a precedent for things moving forward. And then I wanted to make a mark in this world.”
