Danai Gurira Kinda Hints at Okoye Black Panther Spin-Off Series

We knew Black Panther and Wakanda forever Director Ryan Coogler was interested in making one Wakanda Set TV Series for a couple of years. We even heard rumors that Danai Gurirawho plays Okoye, the former gGeneral of the Elite Female Soldiers known as Dora Milaje registered with star. But now, thanks to Gurira, we finally have…an incredibly vague hint that the TV series might take place.

It was Gurira’s turn The late show with Stephen Colbert when the talk show host asked her about the potential project, believing that Gurira couldn’t say anything lest she incur the wrath of Marvel Studios. Instead, she said, “I’ve been told … that I can gently allude to that possibility. So I play softly.”

Compared to how notoriously withdrawn Marvel wants its actors to be, it feels a little surreal for one of its actors to announce anything, even if it’s hardly an announcement and we kind of already knew it. Small steps, I guess.
