Danone to Fly Formula to the U.S. for Babies With Allergies

Danone SA will send the equivalent of approximately five million bottles of specialized infant formula to the United States as part of an expanded effort to alleviate shortages faced by infants with allergies.

The French food giant said about half a million cans of specialized health formula made by the company Nutricia will be shipped to the US in the coming weeks. Danone says the formula will come from their factory in Liverpool, UK, which makes a line of products based on the amino acid Neocate to be used for babies allergic to cow’s milk and other proteins.
