Dave Filoni Teases Ahsoka’s Lonely Journey in Star Wars: Ahsoka

war of stars is a franchise full of characters that go through a period of time much, And Ahsoka Tano had a pretty eventful life. Since her debut on Star Wars: The Clone Wars As Anakin Skywalker’s apprentice during the prequels, she was involved in event after event, from military skirmishes to surviving Order 66 and being a key player in the growing rebellion. With her upcoming solo series will premiere in a few months, according to one of the show’s main threads Ahsoka (as played in the live action by Rosario Dawson) learn to let people fully into her life once again.
Speak with Empire MagazineShowrunner Dave Filoni (and also Ahsoka’s co-creator) said the titular show will explore how lonely her life has become since she didn’t become a Jedi and jumped from place to place. He said the show would begin with her as a wanderer who is “suspicious of any organization as such because as a group it brings a power to it.” During the last season of clone wars, This indicated that she was reunited with Anakin and Obi-Wan, but we’ll get into that more here.
Jedi who lead solitary lives are fair common, but the circumstances of Ahsoka’s loneliness are more complicated than others like her. The survival of Order 66, multiple inquisitors, and a battle with their old master give them plenty of reasons to isolate themselves. And it should help explain why the character appears in live-action The Mandalorian And Boba Fett’s book I’ve felt so…bad in one way or another that every time she catches the whiff of community building, she backs off. (It’s not even that exclusive to live-action, since she appeared and disappeared in the second season of Star Wars rebels.)
While it’s been easy for Ahsoka to come and go as she pleases in the past, it won’t be quite as easy on her show. In rebels, She was rescued by the protagonist of this series Ezra Bridger (played here by Eman Esfandi), and he told her to look for him. This is her way of returning the favor and it requires her to team up with others rebels Character Sabine Wren (Natasha Bordizzo) as they travel the galaxy in search of their missing friend. Filoni had no problem saying that it would be a challenge for her to connect with Sabine during their travels together. “[Ahsoka] walks a path that basically died out a long time ago,” observed Filoni. “How is this life? If you’re a loner, you have a very small circle of friends. So what’s it like trying to open up again?”
Star Wars: Ahsoka coming to Disney+ in August.
