David Amado Gonzales: Arrest after child passes note to Texas school bus driver to call police for her

Authorities say a Texas man has been arrested for assault after a child tipped off a school bus driver by handing him a note asking for help.

According to a local news site, the girl asked for help on Tuesday morning and gave an address to a bus driver in Odessa, west Texas KPEJ.

Hours later, officers from the Odessa Police Department arrived at the home to find David Amado Gonzales, 38, and the girl’s mother sitting on the porch.

As police closed in, the couple retreated into the home and refused to open the door for several minutes, authorities said.

The woman eventually told police that Mr Gonzales came home drunk at 1am that morning, pulled her hair and hit her several times, KPEJ reported.

According to police, he allegedly bit her in the forehead and held a switchblade to her neck, cutting her behind the ear.
