Amber Heard, Aquaman

As reported by Deadline, DC Films President Walter Hamada will most likely take a stand on Tuesday, May 24, to testify in the defamation trial between Amber Heard and Johnny Depp.

Hamada is expected to disclose to the jury that there are no negative consequences for Heard regarding the Aquaman franchise due to her legal situation, including her upcoming role in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. Statement from DC Films President Denis Heard

DC President of Cinema Walter Hamada is no stranger to self-controversy, having dealt with even Ray Fisher’s claims against him after Alliance justice and troubles with The Flash star Ezra Miller before the film’s release. Given Heard’s claims, he remains adamant that Warner Bros. doesn’t reduce her chance to shine in Aquaman 2even with a monstrously troubled trial that continued to be made public.

The Direct revealed exclusively that Heard’s Mera will spend the majority Aquaman 2 pregnant with her and the leading hero’s child, potentially limiting her action sequences, though the extent of that is unclear. Even so, Hamada’s testimony will be something to be watched closely over the next few days as he shares his side of the story officially.

With almost ten months until Aquaman 2 Released in theaters, Warner Bros. there are a lot of challenges ahead with the upcoming promotion of this film and its release next year. While filming is now complete and the film is currently in post-production, there’s still plenty of time for things to change depending on the outcome of Heard on the stand’s time coming to an end.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom will premiere in theaters on March 17, 2023.
