Deadly house fire claims life of person with disability in Darby Township

The flames were so strong that firefighters had to evacuate the house twice.
DARBY TOWNSHIP, Pennsylvania (WPVI) — Rescuers are investigating a deadly house fire that killed a disabled person.
It happened just after midnight Sunday at the 600 block of Sharon Avenue in Darby Township.
Neighbors say it was a very chaotic scene when they were woken up by screams on the block.
“It’s devastating. It’s hard to believe. It was a beautiful house and it’s hard to believe it’s just gone,” said Kevin Tones.
The Action Cam was there as the firefighters battled the blaze.
The fire brigade had to leave the house twice because the flames were strong.
“I am praying for the victims, very sad. I hate to see things like that happen,” said Tones, who lives across the street. “It was pretty bad. It was pretty bad.”
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
Authorities have not released the victim’s name or said if anyone else was injured.
