‘Deathloop’ is now available on Xbox Game Pass

death loop, a superb time warp puzzle box in the guise of a first person shooter, is now available for Xbox. Until now, Arkane Lyon’s latest game was exclusively available for the PlayStation 5 console (it was also available for the PC). However, starting today, it’s playable on Xbox Series X/S via Xbox Game Pass, and on Xbox One, tablets, phones, and desktop browsers via cloud gaming. PC Game Pass subscribers can also try it out on their gaming rig at no additional cost. Additionally, PS Plus Extra and Premium members now have access to death loop on PS5 as part of their subscription.

That’s not exactly surprising death loop landed on Xbox Game Pass after the PS5 exclusivity window closed. Arkane Lyon and publisher Bethesda Softworks are now owned by Microsoft, which honored Sony’s exclusive contracts death loop and Ghostwire: Tokyo upon completion of the acquisition of ZeniMax Media.

Arkane has since rolled out a free one death loop Update called Goldenloop. It introduces cross-play for player vs. player matchmaking on all platforms, as well as cross-saves on Xbox and PC. There’s a new ability called Fugue, a projectile that can slow and confuse targets to temporarily render them harmless. There are four Fugue upgrades to discover, including one that lets you use the projectile as a proximity mine on a surface. Julianna’s Masquerade ability now has some upgrades as well.

Players will have access to a new weapon called Halps Prototype. This is a laser gun with a beam that you can ricochet off turrets and security cameras to bank-shot enemies from surprising angles. The Paint-Bomber is a fresh enemy running towards you with paint-filled explosives. Elsewhere there are new 2-in-1 trinkets that combine the effects of two previous trinkets to beef up your gear and maybe free up some space in your inventory for other perks. Arkane also said that the update will bring an extended ending and some new secrets death loop.

Additionally, Microsoft revealed details on a few more titles coming to Game Pass in the coming weeks. Among them is Hardspace: Shipbreaker, A puzzle game where you disassemble old spaceships for salvage. This is available today for Xbox Series X/S and via the cloud. slime breeder 2 Coming September 22 via Game Pass for PC, Series X/S, and Xbox Cloud Gaming. As for the smash hit survival title Walheim, which will land on PC Game Pass on September 29 before an upcoming console release.
